Historical Significance: The use of brass in kitchenware dates back to ancient civilizations. In the context of tea, brass strainers were particularly popular in the Victorian era, when tea drinking became a deeply ingrained social custom. Owning a brass tea strainer was a sign of status and refined taste. Today, using a brass tea strainer can evoke a sense of nostalgia and connection to those bygone eras, blending the charm of history with the pleasures of modern-day tea drinking.

Practical Benefits – Durability: Brass is known for its strength and resistance to corrosion, ensuring that a brass tea strainer will last for many years with proper care.

Heat Resistance: Brass can withstand high temperatures, making it ideal for straining hot tea without warping or melting.

Hygienic: Brass has natural antimicrobial properties, which can help in maintaining hygiene and ensuring that your tea strainer remains clean and safe to use

Maintenance: To maintain the quality of the coffee and the filter itself, it’s important to clean the brass filter regularly. This usually involves rinsing it thoroughly and occasionally using a mild cleaning solution. Over time, the filter may develop a patina, which is a thin layer that forms on the surface of the brass, giving it a characteristic appearance.
